Including work by Darrell Evanes, Lis Holt, Daniel Shiel, Clarke Avery, Gavin Edwards, Mike Copper, William Morrison, Evelyn Friend L. Amy Charlesworth and David Starley.

WHAT WE DID DURING THE LOCKDOWN’

Our ‘Lockdown’ paintings are largely new work by our regular artists: Jane Fielder, L. Amy Charlesworth, Clarke Avery and myself, but we are also excited to introduce a new artist whose work I came across on the Yorkshire Painting Facebook Page. William Morrison, is a painter who has a Turner-like ability to find drama in the landscape that surrounds us, and to present it in luscious palette of colours. For ‘Lockdown’ we have just a series of smaller oils – his bigger canvasses are unfortunately inaccessible due to building work in his house.  Hopefully from some date during this show we’ll be able to let real visitors into the gallery, who knows even  offer a cup of tea and a biscuit….it’s been such a long time.

15 February – 31 March

LEYLA MURR ‘THE MYSTERY OF YORKSHIRE MOORLAND’

A catalogue of the work will be added to this website and paintings can be bought by internet transfer/ telephone card purchase then collected by appointment or delivered locally..

7 Jan to  14 Feb 2021

‘UNDER THE BED’ SALE

Following Jane’s Fielder’s tradition we ARE holding an ‘Under the Bed‘ sale. Traditionally this is a chance for artists to clear out their older, unsold art works. Of great interest this year are numbers of early works particularly by Jane and Amy. I know we have collectors of their work who might appreciate a painting of historical interest, and particularly when they start at as little as £8, a bargain too!

There’s other UTB work by Jan Whittock and myself, David Starley, all with substantial discounts. I’m also offering 10% off the list price of all other items currently on sale on the website and in the gallery, so for those who nearly bought before Christmas, here’s an added incentive.
