After Christmas and the New Year festivities we\u2019re very much back into the routine, organising 2025\u2019s programme of changing exhibitions as well as tweaking our more permanent galleries. There will be new artists showing for the first time, whilst others return. Sadly we’ll have to say au revoir to some to make room for new work. As always,we will be promoting local talent and for 2025 we will focus more closely on Bradford artists as the city celebrates its ‘City of Culture’ year.<\/p>\n

Our first show of the new year will be our regular \u2018Under The Bed\u2019 Sale, where our artists dig out some of their un-sold stock and offer it at well below normal prices. Those familiar with the normal output of our regular painters, including Jane Fielder, L. Amy Charlesworth, David Starley, Josie Barraclough, Jan Whittock and Tony Dexter will have the opportunity to pick up something from their earlier catalogues, experimental pieces or the remainders from past exhibitions, but we think you\u2019ll be pleased at both the quality and prices of the work available.<\/p>\n
Alongside some of the big \u2018UTB\u2019 reductions in the front room we\u2019ll also be offering 10% off all our current stock of artworks including 3D (the gallery takes the full hit on this so the artists are fully renumerated). Not included in the sale are books and cards. The former are generally sold without commision Do note that there is no evening launch and the the Sale items are not be fully listed on the website – these are just a few examples.<\/p>\n

It is always something a bit special; a chance for regular exhibitors to prepare new work, the past year\u2019s soloists to return with potential Christmas offerings and to give space to new artists who have caught the eye during the year. The front exhibition space in the gallery may have as many as 20 artists work on show. There is always a little uncertainty as to what turns up on installation day, but an eclectic mix can be expected, with no themes, no tonal co-ordination- and a huge range of media- a true Christmas Variety Show, with something to suit all tastes. With concerns over the global supply chain in the run up to Christmas, it is good to know that locally produced goods are still available, with the additional benefits of minimal, transport-related, carbon emissions, support for local producers, and the survival of independent retailers. The Bingley Gallery, has been based on Park Road, Bingley for the past 15 years, originally under the ownership of Jane Fielder and more recently by David Starley.
