Alan John Green 1921-2020, Shipley
Alan John Green was clearly highly talented artist, but I’ve been able to find out little about him so far except that he moved to Bradford after the war and attended the Bradford School of Art. He exhibited pictures in the Bradford Biennale at the Cartwright Hall in Lister Park. The electoral register gives his address as Kendall Avenue, Moorhead, Shipley and the subjects of his work, are ofter very close to that vicinity. if anyone knows more I’d love to hear from them, in the hope that we could put together an entry in Colin neville’s ‘Not Just Hockney’ listing of bradford artists past and present.
